Steeple Ashton are quickly becoming somewhat of a bogey team for Sutton Benger as they finished on top in this encounter.

A topsy turvey match from the off saw Ashton take advantage of a slow start by Benger and race into a 2goal lead through Tom A’Court and Adam Gough but Benger then toom the game by the scruff of the neck to go into a 3-2 lead thanks to James Hernandez, a Rob Jenkins deflected strike, his first for the club and Ethan Jones.

However the loss of influential centre back, Alex Bell proved costly as Ashton struck again before half time once again through A’Court to make it 3-3 at the interval.

Ashton struck three unanswered goals to take the win to the delight of manager Dale Raine with A’Court completing his hattrick and Fadi Forehali and Oscar Keen completing the scoring.
