Division 1 Round Up – Match Week 4 – Sunday 2nd October
Two matches to bring you from division 1 thanks to extended County Cup action for a number of teams in this division.
Olympic Victoria 0-1 FC Trinity
Hallet The Hero With Winner For Trin
Another Bath derby to bring you in this CBFL Division 2 Match-Up at Odd Down Sports Ground and it was the away team who just about managed to take the spoils in this one.
An extremely tight affair saw no goals scored in the first despite both teams seeing plenty of the ball but they could not really carve any real openings of note to trouble either golakeeper.
This pattern remained throughout the second half and it looked like we may have been heading towards a very rare goalless draw but in the 85th minute, Ethan Hallet popped up to score the winner and all three points for FC Trinity.
Two Weir Town FC 3-4 Beeches FC
Beeches Edge Classic At The Pavilion
Somerdale Pavilion was the setting for this match and we were treated to great match between Two Weir Town and Beeches.
The away team struck first through James Angell but they were soon to be pegged back when they scored own goal bring Town back into the game.
Beeches did go in at halftime with an advantage though as they took the lead once more with a Kieran Green strike.
Talisman Steve Ball got his name on the scoresheet and a second from Angell seemingly put this match out of sight for Beeches.
But to their credit, this sparked Two Weir Town back into action and they really piled the pressure on resulting in goals from Ross Durk & Danny Brister to set up an exciting finale but they were unable to score that important equaliser meaning Beeches hung on for the three points.
