FC Trinity 3 Griffin FC 1
The only fixture of the day in Division One of the shoestrings-chargrill sponsored Chippenham & Bath League went the way of FC Trinity who held a 1-0 lead at the half, before running out 3-1 winners on the day at home to Griffin FC.
Two goals from Sam Mason and one from Jared Smith-Core for Trinity with Steve Connor’s second half reply for Griffin.

Two Weir Town FC 1 Old Road FC 2
A first half penalty for Two Weir Town from Joseph Gardner was countered by goals from Zac Sallows and Patrick Whittock giving Old Road FC a 2-1 half time advantage.
There were no further goals in the second half although Town were reduced to ten men after a red card.
Semington FC 2 Griffin FC 2
Semington FC without a League point to date finally broke their duck with an entertaining 2-2 draw at home against Bath based Griffin FC.
Alexander Shaftoe’s two first half goals had given them an early advantage. Two second half replies by Louis Bollard and Duncan Frew for Griffin meant a nervous finish for the home team. They however hung on to collect their first points of the season.
FC Trinity 4 Lavis FC 1
FC Trinity provided one of the surprises of the day in the division as they beat promotion hopefuls Lavis FC 4-1 at home.
Trinity led 2-1 at half time but scored twice more in the second half to put a dent in the visitors hopes. Sam Mason and Drew Lovelock were on target for Trinity, Jack Douglas Duncan Sterling replying for the visitors.
FC Box 5 Calne United FC 0
Another of the promotion hopefuls and currently unbeaten in the League, FC Box were made to work hard for their victory by visitors Calne United.
Holding only a 1-0 lead at the half they eased nerves with four more second half goals to take a 5-0 win. Goals for Box coming from Corey Harbour-Burgess and Jon Bazley with substitute Craig Gingell adding two along with an unfortunate own goal
Beeches FC 7 Olympic Victoria FC 3
Beeches FC who are another team chasing promotion seemed to be heading for an easy victory against their Bath based visitors Olympic Victoria taking a 3-0 half time lead.
The visitors who had only managed to field ten men did put up a battle in the second half as although the home team added four more, the visitors scored three to leave the final score 7-3 for the home team.
Evergreen Steve Ball claimed another hat trick for Beeches, Aaron Masson added two with Kieron Green and Benjamin Howlett one each. Shane Morris, Tom Potter and Jack Walker replying for the visitors.
MATCH DAY 12 – Sunday 27 November 2022
The eagerly awaited clash between unbeaten FC Box and leaders Beeches FC was as expected a close affair.
Box took a first half 1-0 lead and scored two more as the visitors could only manage one in reply.
Their goals coming from Corey Harbour-Burgess, Simon Gray and an own goal. Aaron Masson replying for Beeches leaving Box in the driving seat with games in hand.
Lavis FC 4 Calne FC 1
Lavis FC returned to winning ways as the beat visitors Calne United 4-1, after leading 2-0 at the break. Calne United conceded an goal for the second week running as two from Matthew Purdy and one from Levi Wood completed the Lavis goals.
Thomas Morgan scored in the second half for Calne United.
Semington FC 0 Two Weir Town FC 0
Semington FC claimed their second point of the season with a draw for the second week running.
Neither them or opponents Two Weir Town were able to hit the net as the game ended in a goalless draw.

Semington FC 1 Calne United FC 1
For the third week running Semington FC claimed a point as they were held to a 1-1 draw by fellow strugglers Calne United FC.
After a goalless first half both scored one in the second. Alexander Shaftoe for Semington and Tom King for Calne.
Old Road FC 2 FC Trinity 1
Old Road FC were made to fight for the points as they beat Bath based visitors FC Trinity 2-1.
Old Road had taken a two-goal half time lead with both goals from Jack Dunn. Trinity forced them to concede an own goal in the second half, but they held on to record another narrow victory.
Griffin FC 4 Two Weir Town 4
Bath based sides Griffin FC and Two Weir Town FC battled to an entertaining 4-4 draw at Lansdown after Griffin had held a 3-1 half time lead.
Griffin’s Matthew Pawley scored twice with one each from Steve Connor and Jonathan Halford. This was matched by two goals from Jason Worlock and one from Luke Short and a Griffin own goal as the points were shared.

Olympic Victoria FC 3 Beeches FC 4
Beeches FC who had beaten their under-strength opponents 7-3 at the end of November in the reverse fixture were given a first half surprise as Olympic Victoria took a 3-1 lead.
They however kept their title hopes alive with a battling second half to win 4-3.
Two Goals from Ben Lee and one from substitute Ross Ritchie had given O. Victoria the advantage. Beeches responded with two goals from Steve Ball and goals from Aaron Masson and Thomas Blackman to record a narrow victory.
Griffin FC 3 Lavis FC 6
Lavis FC who had held a 3-0 first half lead away at Griffin FC were made to battle in the second as they took the points with a 6-3 win.
A hat trick from substitute Jack Douglas Duncan Sterling, two from another substitute Jordan Pinder and a Griffin own goal made up the Lavis tally whilst, Howard Dennis, Jonathan Halford and Max Western scored the second half goals for Griffin in an entertaining game.
FC Trinity 2 Semington FC 3
Semington FC continued their four-game unbeaten run with their first win of the season in a close fought game at their Bath based FC Trinity’s pitch at Lansdown.
Semington holding a 1-0 half time lead had Jake Abbott, Kieran Fereday and substitute Harrison Simmonds to thank for their narrow victory with Ricky McCaffery and substitute Sam Mason replying for Trinity replying in the second half in another narrow loss.

Ever reliable Steve Ball’s two goals and one from Thomas Blackman continued Beeches push for promotion as they came back from 2-0 down to narrowly defeat FC Trinity 3-2.
Jared Smith-Core having scored both first half goals for the home team who for the second week running lost by the same score.
MATCH DAY 18 – Sunday 22 January 2023
Olympic Victoria FC 0 Two Weir Town 2.
In the only game to survive the weather this Sunday, the 3G pitch at Odd Down still proved to be tricky as two first half goals gave Two Weir Town a narrow lead over hosts Olympic Victoria.

Two Weir Town 1 Olympic Victoria FC 4
After braving the conditions the previous week Two Weir Town and Olympic Victoria met again in better weather.
Olympic Victoria who lost the previous encounter 2-0 and had not won this season surprised the previous weeks winners as they raced into a 4-1 half time lead.
A double from Chris Rogers and goals from Matt Edwards and Ben Lee for Victoria with Daniel Roberts responding for Two Weir Town.
Old Road FC 2 Semington FC 1
Having taken the lead after 6 minutes from a Sam Whitlock strike it seemed Old Road FC would overwhelm their opponents Semington FC who struggled to get hold of the ball.
Unfortunately for the home team they failed to extend their lead before half time despite numerous chances.
Another Sam Whitlock goal after 55 minutes looked to have given Old Road a safe cushion.
However, seven minutes later Semington’s Jake Abbott reduced the arrears and turned the run of play in the visitor’s favour. Some excellent saves from Will Green and a fair degree of luck along with narrow misses left Old Road heading for victory.
In the final minute, Semington were awarded an indirect free kick 10 yards out after the keeper had picked up a back pass. With all the Old Road team lined up on the goal line Semington could only fire the ball into the defenders. The final whistle gave the home team a 2-1 win.
Lavis FC 4 Beeches FC 1
A clash between two of the division’s top teams stalled the hopes of Beeches FC as the home Lavis FC team inflicted a 4-1 defeat on the visitors after the teams had been level 1-1 at the half.

Two goals from Jordan Pinder along with goals from Matthew Purdy and Jack Douglas Duncan Sterling were enough for Lavis as they continued their hunt for promotion.

Griffin FC v Beeches FC – A/W
With Griffin FC unable to raise a team their match with the Beeches FC was awarded to the latter.
FC Box 8 Two Weir Town 0
FC Box stamped their authority on the game from the start as they raced into a 7-0 half time lead, Two Weir Town did restrict the home team to just one more goal in the second half.
Box remained unbeaten and favourites to take the division one title.
A Simon Gray hat trick, two goals from Spencer Dymond-Hall with goals From Ross Lye, Adam Shipman and substitute Charlie Deverson having done the damage for Box.
Lavis FC 8 FC Trinity 1
Lavis FC inflicted another heavy defeat on the visitors FC Trinity who had struggled in their Somerset County Cup match the previous week against high flying premier division side Kingsmead, going down 7-1.
Lavis leading 3-1 at half time before running out 8-1 winners at the final whistle.
Jordan Pinder scored four with Jack Douglas Duncan Sterling and Ben Tylee two each for the home team. Ricky McCaffery replying for the visitors.
Olympic Victoria FC 7 Calne United FC 0
Calne United could only manage to field nine players for their trip to Odd Down and Olympic Victoria took full advantage.
Holding a 2-0 half time lead they finished with a 7-0 win as the nine men tired. Four goals from Ben Lee with two from Chris Rogers and a goal from substitute Ciaran Llewelyn doing the damage for the home team.
