Premier Division Round Up – Match Week 23 – Sunday 26th February

MELKSHAM DREAM OF RETAINING TITLE

Lansdown FC 1 AFC Melksham 10

AFC Melksham started the game with a Jordan Kirk screamer and finished the one sided game at a cold and windy Lansdown with a rare Olly Clarke goal as Melksham who after taking a 5-1 half time lead ran out 10-1 victors.

Fast positive passing all-round the park kept the Bath based Lansdown lads running and chasing but the visitors steamrollered their way to a convincing victory .

Rhys Talmash completed a first half hat trick and added a fourth just after half time giving way to allow Joe Lamb a run out , who kept his run of scoring up with a goal.

Zachary Hillier who is on fire this season helped himself to a double and a home defender’s own goal turned it to double figures .

Credit also goes to Lansdown’s Craig Rogers who hit a first half peach of a shot from outside the box on the left to beat Thomas North who had a quite morning otherwise .

An injury to Jordan Croad was the only negative of the morning for AFC Melksham. Owen Pearce came on and completed a very hardworking AFCM performance and the current premier champions continue in a good run of form to put 3 more points on the board.

Referee Dave Davis had a good game in a good tempered 90 minutes.
