Somerset FA Sunday Challenge Cup – Semi-Finals – Sunday 26th February 2023
KINGSMEAD REACH SUNDAY CUP FINAL, WHILE PF LOCO MISS OUT
KINGSMEAD FC 9 BORUSSIA BRISTOL FC 0
Kingsmead FC will carry the flag for the newly formed Chippenham & Bath Football League after the Premier Division’s highest scorers powered into the Final of the Somerset FA Sunday Challenge Cup with a 9-0 victory over Bristol based Borussia Bristol.
In truth had this been a boxing contest the tie would have been over after the opening 45 minutes as Kingsmead took a 6-0 advantage into the second half.
Hat Tricks from Brad Norris and Ryan Rudland along with goals from Charlie Saunders, John Dolman and Andy Keen underlining their dominant performance.
The victory also kept alive the chance of a season triple for Kingsmead, – Somerset Sunday Challenge Cup, C&BFL Premier Division title and C&BFL Cinch Storage sponsored Knockout Cup.
PF LOCO FC 0 MARINERS FC 2
Unfortunately our other top flight team, PF Loco FC, the only team to have beaten Kingsmead this season were unable to match their rivals display, Loco who were as a loss as to how they didn’t set up a final showdown with Kingsmead after Taunton based Mariners proved too strong as they ran out 2-0 winners.
Mariners FC will now play Kingsmead FC in the Final on Thursday 20th April @ Shepton Mallet FC
