LEADERS BATH ROVERS OPEN UP 10-POINT LEAD
Bath Rovers FC 9 v TSW FC 1
Bath Rovers continue to lead the division after a convincing 9-1 win over TSW. After scoring seven without reply in the first half.
The division’s top scorer Chris Spurrey scored four to bring his total for the season so far to 50 goals. Tom Rosevear added a hat trick along with goals from Lee Rudland and Kaylum Escott. TSW’s Josh Baker responding in the second half for the visitors.
In what appears to have been a feisty affair, Bath Rovers ended the game with ten men after a second yellow card.
With only one game left to play Bath hold a 10 point lead at the top of the division. Their rivals Whiteway however have still five games in hand and look favourites for the top spot.
Corsham Rangers FC 1 Biddestone Athletic FC 3
Biddestone Athletic completed the double over Corsham Rovers with a 3-1 away win after leading 1-0 at half time. The previous meeting had resulted in a 5-3 home victory for the visitors.
Benjamin Wood, David Payne and Tom Webb were on target for Biddestone as Callum Thornburn replied for Corsham.
Lansdown Reserves FC v Whiteway FC A/W
With Lansdown Reserves unable to raise a team the match was awarded to promotion chasing Whiteway FC.
Marshfield Sunday FC 2 Keynsham Rangers FC 0
In a tight and feisty game at Marshfield, the home team edged a 2-0 win over Keynsham Rangers FC who had held their own in a goalless first half.
Oliver Glover and David Williams were on target for Marshfield in the second half as they consolidated fourth place in the division. Marshfield are now on a run of good form, their only defeat since the turn of the year was at the hands of promotion hopefuls Whiteway FC.
