Division One Round Up – Match Week 28 – Thursday 6th April

LAVIS FC MOVE SECOND ATHE THURSDAY NIGHT SUCCESS

Lavis FC 3 Semington FC 1

With FC Box having won the Division One title last week, Lavis FC needed a midweek win over Semington FC win to keep pace with rivals Beeches in the fight for second place.

After a goalless first half, Jack Sterling gave them the lead, Lavis’ leading scorer Jordan Pinder then added a second before substitute Arthur Dolan a third. Semington’s Bobby Mitchell did pull a goal back in their final game of the season but to no avail as Lavis ran out 3-1 winners.

Lavis and Beeches are now level on points with two games each to play. The head to head game at the end of April at Beeches Shaw pitch is likely to determine who finishes second.
