FC BOX CROWNED DIVISION ONE CHAMPIONS

A thirteenth win of the season, proved to be lucky for FC Box as not only maintained their winning run in all league and cup competitions and at the same time saw the claim the Division One title with a 6-1 away win against Griffin FC at the Bath team’s Lansdown pitch.

Griffin were only able to field ten men and were always going to be under pressure from the division leaders. Jon Bazley opened the scoring for Box, with Toby Gingell then adding a second. Laurie Rouwenhorst got a goal back for Griffin before an unfortunate own goal gave Box a 3-1 half time lead.

Spencer Dymond-Hall increased the Box lead in the second half, before Andy Woods and their leading scorer Benjamin Wickens each added a goal as Box ran out 6-1 winners.
