BOX FINISH LEAGUE CAMPAIGN WITH PERFECT RECORD
FC Trinity 1 FC Box 5
Division One champions FC Box finished their league season in style with an undefeated league record in a clinical 5-1 away win at Bath based FC Trinity. Box’s top scorer Ben Wilkens opened the scoring for the visitors, followed by a goal from Spencer Dymond-Hall, an own goal from Trinity, a second from Ben Wilkens and finally an Adam Mitchell goal to give them a 5-0 lead.
Felix Squire did pull a goal back for Trinity in the second half to leave the visitors with a 5-1 win at full time.
Box now have the Knockout Cup Final to look forward to next Sunday, where they will be hoping to repeat their last years 3-2 win over premier team AFC Melksham.
Beeches FC 3 Two Weir Town FC 1
Beeches took advantage of rivals for second spot in the division Lavis FC having no game, to leapfrog them into second place with a 3-1 home. Lavis however have a game in hand to catch up, Next Sunday’s clash at Beeches will no doubt determine who is likely to be runners up in the division.
All the goals in this game came in the first half. Jack Hayward opened the scoring for Beeches but Luke Short equalised for Two Weir Town. Beeches top scorer Steve Ball then scored two further goals to give them a 3-1 half time lead. Neither team were able to add goals in the second half.
