Premier Division Round Up – Match Week 28 – Thursday 6th April

MELKSHAM VERY MUCH IN THE HUNT TO RETAIN TITLE

AFC Melksham 8 PF Loco FC 2

AFC Melksham were grateful to Melksham Without Parish Council and the groundsman for enabling their Thursday evening match Vs PF Loco FC to be played.

Melksham started brightly and despite the muddy pitch played some good football in the first half as they eased into a 2-0 half time lead with goals from Zachery Hillier and their leading scorer DJ Wheeler with stand in keeper Daniel Broom also having a confident half.

However in the second half Melksham were clearly dominant as they added six more goals with two from their man of the match DJ Wheeler to complete his hat trick, one from Paul Gittins, two from substitute Joe Lamb and an unfortunate own goal from a PF Loco defender.

PF Loco’s leading scorer Nico Inglis did snatch two goals himself to reduce the deficit. Referee Alistair Brewer having a good game in a sporting contest.

The pitch however may need some time to recover. as it resembled a cabbage patch come the final whistle.
