WHITEWAY COMPLETE TITLE WINNING SEASON IN STYLE

TSW FC 0 Whiteway FC 8

Whiteway already crowned Shoestrings-chargrill sponsored Chippenham & Bath League Division Three champions finished the season in style with a convincing 8-0 away win over TSW FC at Westbury Country Park.

Whiteway’s top scorer Gary Jones opened the scoring after 15 minutes before Ashley Scott added a second after 25 minutes. Gary Jones scored his second and the team’s third on the stroke of half time to give them a comfortable lead.

Immediately after the restart Whiteway were awarded a penalty. Their keeper Dan Brailey came up to take the kick, making no mistake in giving his side a 4-0 lead. Substitute Finn Forster then added a fifth before Bill Turner completed a five minute hat trick, scoring in the 77th, 80th and 82nd minutes to complete Whiteway’s victory. Credit to TSW who continued to play to the very end and to Referee Dave Kemmery who had a good game.

League Chair and Discipline Secretary, Geoff Thompson presented Whiteway with the Division Three Winners Trophy and Medals after the game.


Biddestone Athletic FC 2 Trowbridge Athletic FC 5

An end-to-end affair saw Trowbridge Athletic finish their season strongly with a 5-2 away win after holding a 3-2 lead at half time.

Tom Webb had scored both goals in the first half to take his tally to 11 for Biddestone Athletic but two goals from Joshua Mockeridge, a goal from their top scorer Kieran Balchin and Charlie Watson along with an own goal secured the win for Trowbridge who have had a decent second half of the season.
