Fox & Hounds (Warminster) FC 4 Bath Rovers FC 2

ROVERS SUFFER FIRST LOSS, AS FOX GRAB FIRST WIN

On recent form the visitors may well have been slight favourites as Bath Rovers visited Fox & Hounds (Warminster) at their Land Warfare Centre pitch and started the day top off the table.

Rovers did take a 1-0 lead into half time as Felix Squire scored for the visitors.

Fox & Hounds anxious to get their first League points of the season hit back in the second half to take a 2-1 lead with two goals from Jake Owen. Rovers then equalised as Deklan Davis scored.

Jake Owen however restored Fox & Hounds lead to 3-2 as he completed his hat trick. Patrick Kapelka’s  made the game safe for the home team as they ran out 4-2 winners and denting the visitor’s unbeaten league run, with other other results going their way way they still remain in pole position on goal from 5 other teams.


Spires Athletic FC 4 Beeches FC 3

SPIRES EDGE BEECHES IN 7-GOAL THRILLER

Spires Athletic welcomed Beeches to Stanley Park for the first of two consecutive games, the two teams having been drawn together for a first round Wiltshire Sunday Cup tie next week.

If the game this week is anything to go by it should be an exciting game as Spires claimed their first points to dent the visitors previous unbeaten league start.

Steve Ball gave Beeches an early lead, but Daniel Billett equalised before Jack Brain put Spires in front. Aaron Masson then scored for the visitors to level the scores at 2-2 half time.

Zachary Bruce’s two second half goals gave Spires the advantage before an own goal reduced their lead to 4-3 and a nervous finish. Spires however held out to take the points with a 4-3 win.


Two Weir Town FC 4 The Green Dragon FC 1

DRAGON SLAYED BY TWO WEIR TOWN

Two Weir Town matched their opponents league record as they took the points with a 4-1 home win over The Green Dragon.

Two Weir Town had led 3-0 at half time after goals from Dominik Wills. Nick Tanner and Danny Brister.

Sam Chapman pulled a goal back for the visitors but Luke Short made the points safe for the home team as they ran out 4-1 winners.
