FOREST ALBION BEAT BATH ROAD IN DERBY DAY DUEL
Due to problems at the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee pitch both teams were unable to use the pavilion but did agree to play the game, nevertheless.
Bath Road Wanderers after their stunning cup victory the previous week must have been confident to continue their good start to the season. Forest Albion however had other ideas as they opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a Josh Flynn goal to give them a 1-0 lead at half time.
Tyler Campbell then added a second for Albion in the 80th minute before Owen Pearce pulled a goal back for Wanderers.
Jack Woolsgrove however made sure of the points for Albion in the 88th minute as they took a 3-1 away win and maintain their unbeaten league record.
Team Nathan AFC 1 Lacock Athletic FC 4
LACOCK ATHLETIC TOP AFTER LATEST SUCCESS
After the highs of a first victory the previous week Team Nathan AFC were brought back down to earth as they welcomed Lacock Athletic to their Peasedown St John pitch.
Lacock took advantage of close rivals being engaged in Somerset County Cup action to move into top spot.
In a tight first half, substitute David Payne had given Lacock a 1-0 lead which they took into half time.
Ethan Gregory extended the visitors lead before David Payne added two more goals to complete his hat trick an give Lacock a 4-0 lead. Callum MacDuff did get Team Nathan on the scoresheet but the visitors took the points with a 4-1 win.
Trowbridge Athletic FC 3 Weston Village – Team Nathan FC 2
KEEPER SCORES IN TROWBRIDGE ATHLETIC WIN
Both meeting between Trowbridge Athletic and Weston Village – Team Nathan last season had ended in draws.
This was always going to be another close game. Trowbridge drew first blood as Keiran Balchin scored but Jamal Caesar equalised for the visitors. Lenny Gale restored Trowbridge’s lead as they held a 2-1 lead at half time.
Thomas Hinton equalised for Weston Village before Nathan Robbins secured a first win for the home team 3-2 at the close.
T.S.W FC 2 Warminster Athletic FC 7
BULLUS BAGS A 4-TIMER FOR TRIUMPHANT WARMINSTER
Westbury based T.S.W are having a difficult start to the season as they conceded heavily to visitors and near neighbours’ Warminster Athletic.
They went 3-0 down before Alexander Holmes pulled a goal back for TSW but conceded two more to go into half time 5-1 behind
A second half goal from Samuel Parker-Gale for TSW followed another goal from the visitors to leave the score at 6-2 but another goal resulted in a 7-2 away win for Warminster.
Ben Bullus having scored four for Warminster along with single goals from Tyler Cuss, Darius Gait and Kristian Green.
