FOX & HOUNDS DAMPEN DRAGONS FIRE
Fox & Hounds (Warminster) have been in excellent form since losing on the opening day of the season to Beeches FC. A 4-1 victory over The Green Dragon at the Land Warfare Centre was their fourth on the spin.
Despite Jed Kirkwood giving the visitors a 1-0 lead, the home team soon hit back with goals from Sam Wright, Sam Roberts, and Reece Collyer to give them a 3-1 half time lead.
A further Reece Collyer goal sealed their 4-1 win.
With Leaders Whiteway in County Cup action, Fox & Hounds now share second spot with Beeches FC, both of whom have a game in hand on the leaders and are only three points behind.
Old Road FC 5 Spires Athletic FC 1
OLD ROAD FIND TOP FORM TO BEAT SPIRES
Old Road who had only one win to their name this season ahead of their meeting with Spires Athletic, doubled that with a comfortable 5-1 victory.
Old road were quickly out the box when they welcomed visitors Spires to their Beeches pitch. Louis Harriss opened the scoring for the home team, followed by goals from Sam Whittock and Seamus Nicklass-Mooney, which as a result they took a 3-0 lead into half time.
A second goal from Louis Harriss extended their lead and Matthew Sallows added a fifth before Zach Preston pulled a goal back for the visitors to leave the final score at 5-1 to Old Road.
Two Weir Town 1 Bath Rovers FC 3
TOP MARKS FOR ANDY AFTER BATH ROAD TRIUMPH
Bath Rovers returned to winning ways after a surprise loss the previous week. Having won 5-0 at home over fellow Bath based Two Weir Town in the reverse fixture three weeks ago they were always favourite to win.
The game was however closer than expected as Andy Marks gave the visitors a 1-0 half time lead.
Nick Tanner equalised for the home team before Andy Marks scored two more goals for his hat trick and a 3-1 away win for Bath Rovers.
