LEADERS, FOREST ALBION BATTLE BACK TO BEAT LACOCK
Table top rivals Lacock Athletic and Forest Albion battled to a 1-1 half time draw with David Payne opening the scoring for the home side with former AFC Melksham player James Dark equalising for the visitors.
David Payne restored Lacock’s lead before another ex-AFC Melksham player Jack Woolsgrove equalised again.
It was left to James Dark to be Albion’s hero as he gave the visitors the points with his second goal of the day.
Lacock unfortunately finished with 10 men after they had goal scorer Payne sent off.
Bath Road Wanderers FC 5 T.S.W FC 2
WANDERERS KEEP PRESSURE ON TOP CLUBS
A game at Bath Road Wanderers Melksham pitch, Westbury based visitors TSW provided an early surprise for highly placed home team.
A goal from Cameron Pearce gave Wanderers a 1-0 half time lead. But first Aaron Dobson and then Max Welsh scored for the visitors as they took a 2-1 half time lead.
A strong second half performance from the home team saw Charlie Alford, then a second from Cameron Pearce followed by goals from substitute Tom Webb and finally James Rosario give the home team a 5-2 win.
Team Nathan AFC 6 Lansdown Reserves FC 1
TEAM NATHAN OUTGUN LANSDOWN
In what has been so far an up and down season, Team Nathan had one of the former as they welcomed fellow Bath based Lansdown Reserves.
Max Wheatley scored twice to give Team Nathan a 2-0 lead. Goals from Liam Davis and Jimmy Bradley giving them a 4-0 half time advantage.
Louis Brand then made it 5-0 before Charlie Eller scored for the Reserves.
A final goal from Steven Hussey resulted in a 6-1 home win.
Warminster Athletic FC 2 Trowbridge Athletic FC 5
WANDERERS KEEP PRESSURE ON TOP CLUBS
In a battle of the Athletics’, Warminster welcomed Trowbridge to their home pitch at St Georges Playing Fields.
Finley Styles and then Lenny Gale gave the visitors an early 2-0 lead before Noah Millard scored for Warminster. A further goal from Kieran Balchin gave Trowbridge a 3-1 half time lead.
In the second half goals from Oli Walsh and Jacob Thwaites extended the visitors leads to 5-1 before Noah Millard scored again for the home team. Trowbridge leaving with a 5-2 win
Weston Village – Team Nathan 2 Manor FC 2
MATCH ABANDONED AFTER 65 MINUTES
WESTON UNWILLING TO CARRY ON AFTER INJURY
A strange ending to this game between Weston Village – Team Nathan and Manor FC saw it abandoned after 65 minutes with the score at 2-2.
Zilwood Stead and Kevin Boadi had given Weston Village a 2-0 half time lead before two goals from Mitchell Furze brought the game level at 2-2.
An injury to the Villagers goalkeeper resulted in him leaving the field when he collapsed, and an ambulance was called. Despite some home players wanting to continue others wanted to stay with their team-mate until the ambulance arrived. In the event the Referee had no option but to abandon the game.
County FA will now need to decide what happens next.
