TROWBRIDGE END FOREST ALBION’S WINNING START
After their surprise defeat at the hands of Trowbridge Athletic last week, Forest Albion returned to winning ways as they welcomed Lacock Athletic to their Forest Community Centre ground were the former claimed a 3-0 win.
Kieran Mills and two goals from Sean Horobin gave Forest a 3-0 half time lead.
Lacock however fought back in the second half as Jay Watkin scored for the visitors before Josh Flynn reclaimed Forest’s three-goal lead.
A Jason Cole goal for the visitors must have set nerves going but Albion held on to take a 4-2 win.
Manor FC 7 Team Nathan AFC 0
DEBUT TO REMEMBER FOR NEW SIGNING SPURREY
Another team rediscovering their top form are Manor FC who entertained Bath based rivals Team Nathan. Chris Spurrey making his debut since his move from Bath Rovers opened the scoring for Manor before Benny Brown added a second.
Chris Spurrey added his second which was followed by Mitchell Furze to give the home team a 4-0 half time lead.
Chris Spurrey then completed his hat trick before Ted Kirkham added a sixth goal.
A fourth goal for Chris Spurrey then gave the home team a comfortable 7-0 win.
Trowbridge Athletic FC 5 Lansdown Reserves FC 0
TOP SCORER BALCHIN HELP FIRE ATHLETIC TO VICTORY
Trowbridge Athletic continued their winning ways as they entertained Lansdown Reserves at their Notton House school pitch. Two first half goals from the division’s top scorer Kieran Balchin game them a 2-0 half time lead.
Second half goals from Nathan Robbins, substitute Zak Beard and another substitute Josh Mockeridge completed a comfortable 5-0 victory for the improving Trowbridge Athletic.
Warminster Athletic FC 7 Weston Village – Team Nathan FC 2
TOP SCORER BALCHIN HELP FIRE ATHLETIC TO VICTORY
Warminster Athletic who had only one Third Division win prior to this game ensured their visitors Weston Village (Team Nathan) remained without a point this season with an emphatic 7-2 home win.
Darren Martin scored twice to give the home team an early 2-0 lead before first Mitch Ayres and then Kevin Boadi brought the Village level at 2-2.
Ethan Green then scored to give Athletic a 3-2 half time lead.
Darren Martin completed his hat trick after half time before Ben Bullis and two goals from Richard Ledbury gave the home team a 7-2 win.
