Forest Albion FC 7 Weston Village – Team Nathan FC 3

BADGER ROLLS BACK THE YEARS IN FOREST WIN

In a high scoring first half at Forest Community Centre, Melksham, hosts Forest Albion took a 5-3 lead against Weston Village (Team Nathan).

The ever youthful Steve Badger opened the scoring for Albion as Leigh Rowles-Hitchcock and Badger again opened up a 3-0 lead.

Ionut-Viorel Ranate reduced the arrears before Steve Badger completed his hat trick to restore the three-goal lead.

Kai Bingham then scored to again reduce the arrears before top scorer Sean Horobin gave the home team a 5-2 advantage.

A second from Kai Bingham kept the visitors in the game to leave the score 5-3.

Albion took control of the second half as Leigh Rowles-Hitchcock and Sean Horobin both scored their second goals without reply from the visitors to give Albion a 7-3 victory.


Lacock Athletic FC 4 AFC Ivy 0

WATKIN STARS AS LACOCK END IVY’S WINNING START

Unbeaten AFC Ivy were given a battle on a difficult pitch as Lacock Athletic welcomed them.

Despite playing some neat football Ivy found it difficult to find the final ball against a resolute defence. After 44 minutes, Lacock were awarded a penalty and Jay Watkin made no mistake from the spot kick to give the home team a 1-0 half time advantage.

After 50 minutes Ivy fell further behind as David Payne scored for Lacock.

Although Ivy pressed for an equaliser, Lacock held firm and another penalty in the 73rd minute saw Lacock 3-0 in front as Jay Watkin added his second. Ivy heads began to fall and Jay Watkin’s solo run in the 88th minute completed his hat trick as he slotted the ball past the keeper.

Lacock surprising unbeaten AFC Ivy with a 4-0 home win.


Lansdown Reserves FC 5 Bath Road Wanderers FC 3

LANSDOWN ON THE UP AFTER BACK-TO-BACK WINS

Lansdown Reserves made it back-to-back five goal victories as the welcomed Bath Road Wanderers to their home pitch.

Charlie Eller and Curtis Jones gave the Reserves an early 2-0 lead before Wanderers Cameron Pearce scored for the visitors to leave the half time score at 2-1.

Substitute Keelan North equalised for Wanderers before Adam Cooke put Reserves back in front. 

Two more goals from Curtis Jones completed his hat trick and gave the Wanderers a three-goal lead. James Rosario pulled a goal back for the visitors


Manor FC 1 Trowbridge Athletic FC 3

ATHLETIC HIT BACK TO CLAIM VICTORY OVER MANOR

Trowbridge Athletic after a heavy defeat the previous week to Lacock, bounced back to form as they visited Manor FC at Lansdown. Manor opened the scoring as Chris Spurrey scored.

Goals from Jacob Thwaite and Sam Jones gave Trowbridge a 2-1 half time lead.

A single goal from the division’s top scorer Kieran Balchin for Trowbridge was enough to give them a 3-1 away win.


Warminster Athletic FC 5 Team Nathan AFC 1

WIN SEES WARMINSTER CLOSE GAP TO TEAM NATHAN

Two Darren Martin goals gave Warminster Athletic a 2-0 half time advantage at home to Team Nathan AFC.

After the break, George Allen added a third for the hosts Noah Millard a fourth and Adam Clark a fifth before Max Wheatley pulled a goal back from the visitors to leave the final score at 5-1 to Warminster Athletic as they reduced the gap between the two teams to three points with a game in hand.
