HAFFENDEN FILLS HIS BOOTS WITH ALL 4 CORSHAM GOALS
Trailing 3-0 at the half time break and expecting the worse in the second period, Chippenham based The Pewsham FC managed to restrict Chippenham & Bath League Second Division leaders Corsham Rovers to just adding one further goal in the second half as they ran out 4-0 victors.
The League’s leading scorer Elliot Haffenden doing all the damage as he claimed all four goals and extended his lead as the League’s leading scorer, to 26 in seven league matches.
The 4-0 victory also gave Rovers a 3 point lead over Combe Down who were in cup action and have now played the same number of games as Corsham.

BACK-TO-BACK VICTORIES FOR RESURGENT FISHERMEN
Back-to-back victories enabled Kingfisher to move up the table to fourth. The top three however still have a significant lead over the rest.
Kingfisher started strongly and their leading scorer Adam Loveridge opened the scoring after 20 minutes following a nice break down the left before beating the keeper with a low shot.
A corner from the right saw Kingfisher extend their lead two minutes later as George Garraway headed home. In the 30th minute George Garraway scored again with another header this time from the home team’s trademark long throw into the box.
Semington who despite playing some nice football in the middle had been unable to find the final ball until the 42nd minute when Daniel Rimmer scored after a goalmouth scramble. The home team went into half time with a 3-1 lead.
Semington continued to struggle against Kingfisher’s long ball into the box tactic and this led to two further Kingfisher goals following scrambles in the box. Ben Haines scored both in the 55th and 57th minutes.
Increasingly bad weather began to spoil the game as players struggled to keep the ball in play. Kingfisher must however have been satisfied with their 5-1 Home win.
