DOWNERS SHOCK BEECHES IN KO CUP

Second place division two outfit Combe Down welcomed Division one promotion hopefuls Beeches to their Odd Down pitch, for their Second round showdown in this season’s Cinch Self Storage sponsored Knockout cup.

With both teams evenly matched in the first half. Olly Clarke opened the scoring for the visitors before Morgan Henry equalised for Combe Down.

Tom Dowell restored Beeches lead before Ben Mayland again equalised for the home team. The teams going into half time at 2-2.

Second half goals from Drew Lovelock and then Kean Hayward ensured a surprise 4-2 win as Combe Down move into the quarter finals.


Marshfield (Sunday) FC 0 Scoop FC 7

SUMMER SHINES IN WINTER RAIN FOR SCOOP

Unbeaten Premier division Scoop moved into the next round of Cinch Self Storage sponsored Knockout cup with an impressive 7-0 away win at Second Division Marshfield (Sunday) after holding a 3-0 half time lead.

Four goals from Edward Summers brought him level at the top of the premier division goal scorers.

Nathan Baldwin added two more and a Rory Davis goal completed the Scoop goal scorers.


PF Loco FC 2 Kingsmead FC 4

KINGSMEAD CLAIM CUP WIN OVER RIVALS PF LOCO

In the Knockout cup battle between Bath based premier division rivals, Kingsmead and PF Loco FC at the latter’s Lansdown home, it was the visitors who came out on top.

Holding a 2-1 half time lead Kingsmead moved into the next Round as they ran out 4-2 winners on the day. Two goals from Rhys Talmash and one from Ryan Rudland left them as the team’s joint top scorers. John Dolman being the other scorer for Kingsmead.

Joe Battrick and Matthew Curnock replied for PF Loco.


FC Devizes United v Team Nathan AFC

FC DEVIZES WALK ON TO NEXT ROUND

It really didn’t come as a surprise that Premier division leaders FC Devizes United booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Cinch Self Storage sponsored Knockout Cup and it it was no surprise that they got there without having to dirty their kit as Third division opponents Team Nathan AFC handed them a walkover as they were unable to raise a team for the trip to Goatacre.
