LOCO KEEP SUNDAY CUP HOPES ON TRACK
PF Loco FC who reached the semi-finals of last season’s Somerset Sunday Cup where they suffered defeat against Mariners FC, booked their place in the last four of this season competition with a 3-2 triumph away at Bridgewater & District Sunday Premier League side Ramblers FC.
Ramblers who had beaten fellow Chippenham & Bath League, second division Farrington Albion 8-4 in the previous round, always knew that their top flight would pose more of a threat than Albion did.
Loco had to do things the hard way, before booking their semi-final spot, twice coming from behind to seal their win. Angus Williamson cancelled out Ramblers opener.
Ramblers regained the lead, but once again they were pegged back as Simon Smith levelled things up at 2 apiece, before Martin Smith put them 3-2 up prior to half time when he netted what proved to be the winner.
