LEADERS WIN TO EXTEND LEAD AT THE SUMMIT

Having lost a close and controversial game last month to the visitors Trowbridge Athletic, Forest Albion were looking to revenge that loss. Tyler Campbell opened the scoring for the home team before Jack Woolsgrove added a second as they took a 2-0 lead into half time,

Albion’s top scorer Sean Horobin added a third after half time before Harry Brennand completed the scoring to give Albion a 4-0 win as they stretched their lead at the top of the division.


Lacock Athletic FC 5 Team Nathan AFC 1

LACOCK RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

After a disappointing performance the previous week against Bath Road Wanderers, Lacock Athletic returned to form with a convincing 5-1 win over visitors Team Nathan.

In a close first half David Payne gave Lacock a first half 1-0 lead.

Tom Webb extended the home team’s lead after half time before a Callum MacDuff penalty gave Team Nathan hope.

Goals from Cameron Waldron, then Jay Watkin and finally Ethan Gregory ensured the home team had a 5-1 win as they moved into third place in the division.


Lansdown Reserves FC 2 Manor FC 3

MANOR END LANSDOWN’S WINNING RUN

In what appears to have been a very entertaining game at Lansdown on a tricky pitch, Ben Brown opened the scoring for visitors Manor before Craig Rogers equalised to leave both teams level at half time 1-1.

Ted Kirkham restored Manor’s lead and the game remained 2-1 to Manor before Curtis Jones scored as Lansdown thought they had rescued a point.

However their hopes were dashed as Connor Liddiard scored at the very end for Manor to give them the points and halt the Reserves recent good run.


Weston Village – Team Nathan FC 2 Warminster Athletic FC 2

WESTON VILLAGERS CLAIM FIRST POINT

Weston Village (Team Nathan) claimed their first point of the season as the held visitors Warminster Athletic to a draw at their Lansdown pitch. Kai Bingham scored in the first half to give them a 1-0 half time lead.

Ben Bullis equalised for the visitors in the second half before Kai Bingham scored his second to give the Village the lead again. Taylor Cuff however scored for Athletic to leave both teams with a point as the game ended 2-2.
