UNI BOYS CELEBRATE FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON
Having drawn their previous meeting 4-4, University Of Bath and Lavis FC met for a second time this term, and it was the Uni boys who sent the champagne corks popping as a 2-1 success earned their their first win of the campaign.
Will Honeychurch gave the home team the lead which was doubled by Antonie Rannou and although Matt Purdy pulled a goal back for Lavis prior to half time his strike was just a consolation as with no further goals coming in the second half, the University Of Bath held on to win and that was despite Lavis having plenty of chances to get back on level terms and take a point from the game.
HOURGLASS WITHDRAW FROM THE LEAGUE
DEVIZES based Hourglass have become the third team to withdrawn from the Premier Division since last years AGM announced that 10 team would form the top flight this season.
Following the resignation of both AFC Melksham, The British Lion and now Hourglass it means that 7 sides will be left battling for silverware.
