Fox & Hounds (Warminster) FC 6 Beeches FC 3

FOX TOP THE TABLE AFTER BEECHES SUCCESS

In a high scoring game at Warminster’s Land Warfare pitch, Fox and Hounds sought to reverse their early season defeat in the away fixture at Beeches FC.

Max Ball opened the scoring for Fox & Hounds before Beeches equalised. Sam Wright extended the home teams lead and Jayson Stokes added a third to give Fox & Hounds a 3-1 half time lead.

Reece Collyer added a fourth before Beeches reduced the arrears. Steven Corbin gave back the three goal advantage for the home team. Mark Davies added a sixth goal before Beeches claimed their third goal.

Beeches scores being two goals from Aaron Masson and one from Tom Tanner.

Fox and Hounds moved to the top with a one point lead, albeit Whiteway now have a game in hand.


Old Road FC 1 Lansdown FC 5

LANSDOWN MAKE IT 3 LEAGUE WINS ON THE SPIN

Old Road welcomed Lansdown FC to Shaw looking to reverse an early season 3-0 away defeat but fell behind after just 8 minutes as Frazer Collins opened the scoring for the visitors with a low shot. Collins then added a second after 36 minutes as a reacted first to a rebounded shot to score and give the Lansdown a 2-0 half time lead.

The early part of the second half was fairly even until the 66th minute when substitute Craig Rogers scored with a close shot to make it 3-0.

Ten minutes later Old Road did get on the scoresheet as Alex Ball lobbed the keeper to bring them back in the game.

In the 82nd minute substitute Jacob Clement restored Lansdown’s three goal advantage. In the final minute Theo Martin’s free kick sealed a 5-1 away win a double for Lansdown who recorded their third consecutive League victory of the season.


Spires Athletic FC 3 The Green Dragon FC 4

DRAGON COME FROM BEHIND TO TOPPLE SPIRES

West Lavington based Green Dragon came back from a two-goal half time deficit to record a much-needed victory at home to a Spires Athletic side who had been in good form of late.

Sam Wallis scored the two goals for Spires as they took a 2-0 lead into half time.

Benjamin Strange started the comeback, with goals then coming from Christian O’Donovan, Daryl Nash, and Joshua Duckett to give Dragon a 4-2 lead. Frank Mubvuta pulled a goal back for Spires but Green Dragon held on to record a 4-3 home win.
