CAMPBELL STRIKES TWICE IN FOREST’S COMEBACK WIN
Chippenham & Bath League, Division three leaders, Forest Albion were made to work hard as they visited Warminster Athletic.
The home team took the lead when Jonathan Hoare scored before Tyler Campbell equalised for Forest, Tyler Campbell scored his second to give Forest a 2-1 interval lead.
Warminster were then given the chance to equalise in the second perio when they were awarded a penalty. Grady Dufosse however could not convert as his spot kick was saved by keeper Kieran Perrin and the visitors held on to take a 2-1 away win and maintain their healthy lead at the top of the division.
Bath Road Wanderers FC 9 Weston Village – Team Nathan FC 0
WANDERERS HIT THE GOAL TRAIL AT BOWERHILL
Bath Road Wanderers clearly found their shooting boots as they welcomed Weston Village (Team Nathan) to their Bowerhill, Melksham home pitch.
They took a 3-0 lead into half time with goals coming from Cameron Pearce, Dawid Fedyk and finally Owen Pearce.
Substitute Jordan Meakin extended the home team’s lead before Dawid Fedyk added his second as did Jordan Meakin to give Bath Road Wanderers a 6-0 lead.
Ben Chapman, Luke Wilkins and Joseph Brickell completed the scoring for Bath Road Wanderers to give them a 9-0 home win.
Lansdown Reserves FC 2 Lacock Athletic FC 4
LACOCK WIN TO KEEP PRESSURE ON LEADERS
A run of recent good form by home team Lansdown Reserves was brought to a halt as they welcomed high flying Lacock Athletic. Curtis Jones opened the scoring for the home team before Tom Webb equalised for Lacock as the teams went in at 1-1 for half time.
Cameron Waldron gave the visitors a slight lead before Curtis Jones equalised. Tom Webb scored his second goal to give Lacock the lead again. David Payne who completed the scoring to give the visitors a 4-2 away win to maintain their second place in the division, was later sent off for two bookable offences.
Team Nathan AFC 0 AFC Ivy 0
IVY STUNNED BY NATHAN IN RARE GOAL LESS DRAW
After suffering a surprise loss to Manor FC last weekend, high flyers AFC Ivy were expected to make a return to winning ways when they visited Team Nathan AFC who they had beaten 5-1 at the start of October.
A surprising 0-0 draw resulted from Team Nathan’s game with high flying AFC Ivy. Both teams’ failure to find the net resulted in an unusual scoreline for this Division.
AFC Ivy players Harrison Collings and Ben Pearce didn’t helps their team’s cause as they were both Sin Binned twice before later being red carded.
