The battle of the Chippenham & Bath, Second Division basement side Farrington Albion and Westbury Rovers went the way of the former.
Farrington who welcomed Dale Raine’s side to their home pitch before taking a 2-0 half time lead with goals from Aaron Whittock and Oleksander Ladyzhenski.
A further Aaron Whittock goal extended Farrington’s lead before Westbury pulled a goal back to reduce the lead to 3-1.
A Jack Perry goal gave Farrington a 4-1 cushion before two more goals from the visitors left Farrington with a nervous finish. Westbury’s second half goals coming from Dale Rowland, Mike Booth and substitute Youssef Qisori.
A welcome 4-3 victory for the home team who started the day at the foot of the table, took them out of the drop zone.

ARMSTRONG STARS AS FISHERMEN HOLD CORSHAM TO A DRAW
Having held Corsham Rovers to a 1-1 draw at the end of November, it was a case of De-ja-vu for Kingfisher FC as they repeated the performance in the reverse fixture.
After a goalless first half in which Corsham had a lot of possession, without really threatening the Fishermen’s defence which stood up well to the league’s top scorer Elliott Haffenden who had a penalty saved by Jake Armstrong before Morgan Ackerman gave Corsham the lead.
Kingfisher however hit back when Henry Garraway scored to once again frustrate Corsham as the game ended at 1-1. Leaders Griffin, in cup action now have both a one point lead and a game in hand on Corsham.
Marshfield (Sunday) FC 5 The Pewsham FC 2
MARSHFIELD END WINLESS RUN
With no win in their previous 7 league and cup matches Marshfield took a welcome 5-2 home victory over visitors Pewsham who themselves had not won in nine, with the last they they tasted success being first time they played Marshfield back in October.
Leading 4-2 at half time they finally sealed a 5-2 success with goals coming from Luke Cook, Jake Good, Matthew Kyriakides, Keiran Lucas and Ethan Moore.
Pewsham’s veteran Richard Chaffey scoring both first half goals for them.
