Top flight stablemates Kingsmead FC and Lavis FC locked horns at the University of Bath Training Ground battling for a place in the last four of the Cinch Self Storage sponsored competition.

Kingsmead who reached the semi-final stage last term, got off to a sluggish start and could have been two-down before Charlie Saunders scored from the spot to put them ahead. Rhys Talmash who was later sent off along with Lavis player Jordan De Silva made it 2-0, before Jordan Pinder halved the deficit when he converted from 12 yards.

After the break, a second from Charlie Saunders regained Kingsmead’s 2-goal cushion and a first of the game for Ryan Rudland made it 4-2, but back came Lavis with a second penalty of the morning from Pinder to get them thinking that a comeback could be on the cards.

Any hope of that happening went when Ryan Rudland made it 5-2 before he completed the scoring with his third of the game to seal the hosts emphatic 6-2 triumph.
