Chippenham & Bath League, Premier division outfit and Somerset Sunday Cup holders Kingsmead FC were hoping to make it to back to back to finals when they hosted Mariners FC who were the side they beat last April 1-0 to lift the trophy.
Kingsmead may not have been as clinical as they were in the previous round when they smash the much fancied Taunton North Robins 9-1, but against their Somerset Sunday League opponents Steve Barnes & Ritchie Chandler’s side claimed a 3-1 semi-final win to set up the all Chippenham & Bath Cup Final against long time rivals PF Loco FC.
Leading 2-1 at the break made the tie safe thanks to a Sam Whitson goal.
Simon Gilbert and Rickie Scott netted in the first half for the Kinsmen to nullify Billy Bradbury’s effort for the Mariners.

Chippenham & Bath League, stable mates, PF Loco FC from the Premier division and former First division leaders Whiteway FC met in the other Somerset Sunday Cup semi-final and although Taelor Bowen visitors to Lansdown put up a brave fight as they suffered a 3-1 loss which wasn’t helped by some on field decisions they believe on the day went against them.
Whiteway opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Aiden Maslen, but they found themselves 3-1 down at the break.
Matt Curnock restored parity on 30 minutes, Andre Pintore gave Loco the lead on 39 minutes and Nico Inglis added the third a minute before half time.
Whiteway tried to get back in the game but were unable to find a way through Loco’s back line, who having missed out on the final at this stage last season when they lost to Marnier FC will be hoping that they can actually topple their local rivals Kingsmead in the final.
