DRAGON TAME FOX & HOUNDS

Having moved to the top of the Chippenham & Bath League First division table last weekend and having won convincingly at home 4-1 in the reverse fixture Fox & Hounds (Warminster) must have been hoping for a similar result as they visited Green Dragon at West Lavington to keep the mat the summit.

Fox & Hounds got of to the best possible start with Reece Collyer opening the scoring for them before Green Dragon took a 3-1 lead. Matthew Mead pulled a goal back for the visitors as Green Dragon led 3-2 at the half.

Green Dragon scored two more in the second half to put a dent in the visitors League progress as they slipped to second spot.

Dragons goal’s on the day coming from Christian O’Donovan with two, Max Johnson and Sam Chapman also with two as they won 5-2 on the day.


Lansdown Reserves FC 3 Two Weir Town FC 1

FOUR WINS ON THE SPIN FOR LANSDOWN

With four wins on the run, Lansdown have moved themselves from the foot of the table and into fifth place. Having narrowly beating the home team 1-0 in the reverse fixture, visitors Two Weir Town must have been hoping to repeat their win.

However recent signing Tom Lakeman had other ideas, the signing from Bath Rovers scored the only goal in the first half to give Lansdown a 1-0 advantage at the break.

In the second half Theo Martin and Tom Lakeman with his second extended Lansdown’s lead to 3-0 before Alex Singh pulled a goal back for the visitors. Lansdown taking the points with a 3-1 win.


Whiteway FC 3 Spires Athletic FC 1

WHITEWAY RECLAIM TOP SPOT

Bath based Whiteway FC moved back into top spot in the division as the beat visitors Spires Athletic for the second time this season.

Charlie Myrie opened the scoring for Whiteway in the 32nd minute and Thomas Rosevear added a second in the 36th minute to give the home team a 2-0 half time lead.

The division’s top scorer Aaron Masson pulled a goal back for Spires after the break before Thomas Rosevear scored his second to restore Whiteway’s two goal advantage.

With no further goals Whiteway took the points with a 3-1 win.
