IVY BEAT FOREST TO CLOSE GAP ON LEADERS
After suffering a shock draw away at Team Nathan AFC last weekend Chippenham & Bath Third Division Leaders, Forest Albion hosted fellow title hopefuls AFC Ivy at their Forest Community Centre base. Albion’s hopes of the title were dealt a blow as AFC Ivy moved into second place with a convincing 5-2 away win. Although Ivy are six points adrift, they have two games in hand.
Both teams started brightly with both keepers being called into action early. It was however Ivy who struck first as Ned Nolan scored with a header after after 19 minutes.
Albion then began to press for an equaliser. They had to wait until the 42nd minute when James Dark was fouled in the area, Jack Woolsgrove stepped up and made no mistake with the penalty to equalise.
Albion’s joy was short lived as with the half time whistle about to blow, Balasz Boda restored Ivy’s lead. Ivy going into half time with a 2-1 lead.

Lacock Athletic FC 1 Warminster Athletic FC 2
WARMINSTER COMPLETE LACOCK DOUBLE
After beating Lacock Athletic FC 4-2 earlier in the season Warminster Athletic FC travelled to their hosts on the back of a 10-1 thumping at the hands of Manor FC and probably lacking confidence. If that was the case it didn’t show as a 2-1 triumph for Stuart Green’s Warminster side saw them complete a league double over Ben Thomas side.
In what was a closely contested open 45 minutes, Warminster led 1-0 at the interval courtesy of a debut goal from Stefan Aland goal.
Darren Martin’s seventh goal of the campaign doubled Warminster’s lead. Dion Calway pulled a goal back for Lacock, but it was a case of too little, too late as it just proved to be a consolation.
