When The Pewsham FC visited Olympic Victoria FC in their Chippenham & Bath Second Division encounter back in December, Victoria were on top form at they ran out 11-2 winners. In the return match that was also played at Odd Down Sports Ground, Victoria were all smiles again as the chalked up a 5-3 win.
Simon Wikeley’s opener for Olympic Victoria was cancelled out by Rylie Gascoigne’s first ever goal for Pewsham.
Ben Lee regained the lead for Victoria who were again pegged back, this time by a Sam Parmenter goal that saw parity restored prior to half time.
After the break goals from Rob Gray and Chris Rogers put the home team 4-2 in front, although Callum Fortune pulled another back for Pewsham it wasn’t enough and and hopes of a comeback from Steve Browning’s side ended when Simon Wikeley scored his second of the contest to seal the 5-3 success.

NO AWAY DAY BLUES FOR SEMINGTON
Semington FC who defeated Marshfield (Sunday) FC 1-0 when the sides met in November completed a double over their opponents thanks to a 3-1 triumph at Withymead Playing Fields.
Semington led 1-0 at the end of the first half thanks to a Sam Malone goal, which was his third of the current season.
A seventh goal of the campaign for Ollie Gee doubled Semington’s lead.
Marshfield’s top scorer Sam Bean took his tally to 14 when he reduced the arrears for the hosts, however his goal proved to be just a consolation as Harrison Simmonds scored a third for the visitors to seal a victory that moved them above Marshfield in the standings.

FISHERMEN LAND ANOTHER 3 POINTS
Despite an improvement in the weather, only one of the scheduled four Chippenham & Bath Third Division fixtures beat the elements and that match was at Lansdown, where visitors Warminster Athletic scored a late equaliser to claim a 1-1 draw against hosts Lansdown Reserves.
Harry Garraway opened the scoring for the Fishermen who hooked a second courtesy of an Ed Baldwin strike that gave them a 2-0 interval lead.
The points were confirmed after the break with Jay Painter stroking home to wrap up a 3-0 win for the Chippenham based side.
