PREMIER DIVISION ROUND UP – 4th February 2024

Scoop FC 3 Lavis FC 2

SCOOP KEEP TITLE HOPES ALIVE

Scoop FC who faced Lavis FC for the first time this season and will face them again in a fortnight’s time will be well aware that Aaron Latchem’s side who suffered a narrow 3-2 loss at the home of defending Chippenham & Bath League, Premier division champions will be well up for the return fixture, especially as they had chances to get something from the match at Beversbrook.

Goals from Jack Smith and Eddie Summers may have put Scoop 2-0 up but Lavis fought back and reduced the arrears through Arthur Dolan.

Scoop restored their two goal cushion before the break with Ryan Collins netting to make it 3-2.

Lavis took the match to Scoop after the break and were probably the better team in the second period, but despite Arthur Dolan claiming his second of the morning to get his team back in the game, them were unable to conjure up an equaliser.

The Lavis cause wasn’t helped after they had Matt Dew red carded after he picked a second yellow card, which many people believed was harsh.
