Ahead of the preverbal promotion 6-point against Chippenham & Bath Third Division Leaders, Forest Albion next Sunday, Bath based AFC Ivy avoided a potential banana skin with a 6-2 triumph at home to a Bath Road Wanderers who they met for the first time this term.
Ivy who maintain second spot with their win, actually fell behind to a Cameron Pearce goal, however they were on level terms at the break, Harrison Collings scoring from the penalty to restore parity.
After the break, Aiden Fowles regained the lead for AFC Ivy, but for a second time in the match Bath Road fashioned an equaliser and for a second time it was Cameron Pearce who who netted for the visitors.
Balasz Boda put AFC Ivy ahead for a third time in the contest and on this occasion there was no coming back for Bath Road as further goals from Owen Windsor and Sam Moss who scored twice sealed an important 3 points for Ivy in their bid for a top two finish.
