With both the Chippenham & Bath Second Division to two sides, Griffin FC and Corsham Rovers in Subsidiary Cup action, Combe Down who started the day in third place, but in the knowledge that if they beat Forest Renegades who they had already beaten 3-0 earlier in the season, they would claim a share of pole position.
Things didn’t go to plan for the Bath based visitors to Holt as they suffered an unexpected 3-0 loss that saw them remain outside of the top two places, but yet very much in the fight for an automatic promotion place.
Renegades who haven’t played for over a month took the lead courtesy of Brad Godridge, Lyndon Parmley made it 2-0 before his second of the morning gave the hosts a 3-0 half time lead.
Combe Down pulled a goal back in the second when the unfortunate Lee Ridout put through his own net, however it was just a consolation as Renegades remained on top to claim a deserves 3 points and avenge their early season loss.
