Defending Chippenham & Bath League, Premier Division champions Scoop FC who have for a long time this season played second fiddle to FC Devizes Unitedare now red hot favourites to claim back to back titles. A 13-0 victory away at University Of Bath took them level on points with Devizes and means that as long as they avoid defeat away at Lavis FC in their final match of the season, Liam Richards side will see their named etched on the silverware for a second successive season.
Ahead of this weeks Knockout Cup semi-final meeting with Kingsmead, Scoop played some of their best football for a while and led 4-0 at the break, Josh Bright scoring a hat trick and Ed Summers adding the others.
The floodgates opened in the second period as the current champions netted a further nine unanswered goals, Ed Summers added to his first half strike, Rory Davies bagged a brace and a goal each for Archie Green, Aaron Witchell, Jamie Hall, Will Baguley and Jack Smith made up Scoop’s 13.
