A 2-1 victory for Forest Albion at home to local rivals Bath Road Wanderers keeps the Melksham based side top of the Chippenham & Bath Third Division standings, 3 points ahead of AFC Ivy who have a game in hand on them and who they play in what will be a winner takes all final match of the season later this month.
A Jack Woolgrove goal gave Forest a 1-0 half time lead. A second from Woolsgrove that took his tally across all competitions to 13, but more importantly it gave Forest a 2-0 lead.
Jacob Applegate halved the deficit for Bath Road, but for the visitors it was a case of too little, too late as Forest held on the all important victory.

IVY WIN TO KEEP PRESSURE ON FOREST
AFC Ivy kept the pressure on Forest Albion at the top of the table, thanks to a 5-2 triumph away at local Bath based rivals Manor FC who despite suffering a first loss in 10 outings are guaranteed to finish their first season in the league in third place.
The last time the two sides met was at the start on January and on that occasion Manor defeated their rivals 5-2, in the reverse fixture Ivy extracted sweet revenge and the 3 points gained, keeps them on the coat tails of the leaders and if things go to plan they should move to level points next week when they host Lacock Athletic.
Chris Spurrey scored the opener for Manor, but his team trailed 3-1 at the break as goals from Aiden Fowles, Owen Windsor and Sam Moss turned the game in favour of Ivy.
Manor were down but they weren’t out of the contest and a penalty from Chris Spurrey, his second of the morning and 22nd in just nine appearances for Manor made things interesting, but any hopes the hosts had of turning things around ended when Milo Murgatroyd added a fourth for Ivy before Jack Hallett made it 5-2 to wrap up all 3 points for the title hopefuls.
