THURSDAY NIGHT JOY FOR SEMINGTON

Semington FC continued their recent good form as they welcomed Forest Renegades to Little Marsh on Thursday evening, taking a 2-0 half time lead with goals from Harry Thorne and Daniel Rimmer.

Tom A’Court pulled a goal back in the second half , but a brace from substitute James Cox and Ian Dowell gave Semington a 5-1 home victory.

Semington FC 3 Olympic Victoria FC 3

WHITEMAN RESCUES POINT FOR SEMINGTON

A second match in four saw Semington back in action again, when they welcomed Olympic Victoria to their Little Marsh base.

Having gone down 4-1 in the reverse fixture earlier this month, Semington welcomed Olympic Victoria hoping to reverse their defeat. Oliver Gee opened the scoring for Semington before Ben Lee equalised to leave the teams level at half time1-1.

Oliver Gee added his second after half time before Simon Wikeley equalised again.

Ben Lee then grabbed his second for Victoria to give them a 3-2 lead. Joseph Whiteman then equalised for Semington to draw level at 3-3. No further goals left both teams with a point apiece for their efforts.


Forest Renegades FC 4 Farrington Albion FC 1

RENEGADES PICK UP MUCH NEEDED WIN

After some disappointing results of late, Forest Renegades welcomed Farrington Albion to the Shaw pitch which they had borrowed for the day and they may well look to continue playing at the Beeches in futures as a change of pitch resulted in a 4-1 victory for Kieran Powell’s side.

Tom A’Court opened the scoring for Renegades after 3 minutes. Luke Tucker equalised for Farrington from the penalty spot. Nathan Bailey then gave Renegades a 2-1 lead in the 26th minute. Two further goals from Tom A’Court in the 37th minute and Nathan Bailey in the 42nd minute gave Renegades a 4-1 half time lead.

With no further goals in the second half, Renegades took a 4-1 victory.
