HOLDERS CRUISE INTO SEMI FINAL
Third Division Team Nathan were showed no mercy by Second Division high flyers Corsham Rovers in a high scoring second half display.
The League’s leading scorer Elliot Haffenden had opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half which ended in them taking a 1-0 lead.
However the visitors then ran rampant in the second half with goals from Jake Abbot, Jamie Ellis, Jake Dodge, a second from Elliot Haffenden, Morgan Ackerman, Jaiden Pearce, Aron Byfield and a second from Jaiden Pearce completing Corsham’s 9-0 win.

SPIRES IN THE MOOD FOR ANOTHER CUP RUN
Division One Spires who narrowly missed out in last week’s PJL Rail Services Memorial Cup final are clearly hoping to reach another final.
They opened a 3-0 lead in the first half after an unfortunate own goal gave them the lead against Division Two highflyers Combe Down. Aaron Masson and Aiden Jackson adding a goal apiece for the visitors.
Having thrown away a 2-0 lead in the final the previous week, Spires Athletic would have feared the worse whenCombe Down hit back in the second with Alfie Prescott and Morgan Henry scoring for them.
Spires however held on to progress to the semi-final against Corsham Rovers.

PAWLEY HITS 5 IN GRIFFIN’S CUP WIN
Second Division rivals Griffin FC who currently lead the division and fresh from their Memorial Cup final success over Spries Athletic welcomed bottom team Pewsham to their Lansdown home.
Goals from Matthew Pawley and Duncan Frew opened a 2-0 lead which was the half time score.
Alex Raistrick and a second goal from Matthew Pawley extended the home team’s lead to 4-0 before Steven Browning pulled a goal back for Pewsham. Another goal from Matthew Pawley completed his hat trick and a 5-1 lead.
Pewsham however were determined to make a fight of the game as Calum Fortune and Kadir Ayhan pulled the score back to 5-3.
Matthew Pawley then completed a Man of the Match performance with two more goals as Griffin completed a 7-3 victory and a semi final against First division Lansdown.

NO CUP UPSET AT NOTTON HOUSE
Third Division, Trowbridge Athletic welcomed First Division Lansdown to their Notton House School pitch.
Tom Lakeman opened the scoring for the visitors to give them a narrow 1-0 half time lead.
Jake Jefferies equalised in the second half for Trowbridge before an Ollie Letteboer own goal restored the visitors narrow lead.
Substitute Jake Banks then scored before Trowbridge leading scorer Kieran Balchin pulled another goal back for Trowbridge.
Joe Murray settled Lansdown nerves as he scored to give the visitors a 4-2 lead which was the final score. Lansdown now meet Griffin in the semi-final.
