The latest outing of the Somerset Sunday Challenge Cup may not go down in history as one of the greatest finals ever, but for winners Kingsmead, their penalty shoot out success over Bath based rivals PF Loco was the sixth time they had lifted the converted trophy.

It may not be the first time ever that two Bath based sides have made it through to the final of the Somerset Sunday Cup, but just two years after the merger of the Chippenham & Bath League’s, it a first for the league and comes a year after Kingsmead became the first ever League side to lift the Cup.

The Chippenham & Bath League will be guaranteed at least one of this season’s Somerset Sunday Cup finalists as all all 3 of the league sides booked their place in the semi-finals of competition won last year by Kingsmead FC.
